When your dog gnaws on a raw bone they are mentally stimulated, distracted from boredom and doing their own work of removing plaque and tartar from their teeth. The meat tissue still left on the bones allow for a separate type of chewing, which is natural and great for “flossing” and satisfying natural chewing instincts.
